CEO announces official foreclosing of Auran Developments |
Ó
This declaration was contrary to his previous statement when Hilliam mentioned that operations will still continue smoothly despite the sixty-man layoff within the core development team.
Currently, Auran Developments is undergoing the process of liquidating their funds. Because of which, ex-employees will still be compensated according to law under the General Employee Entitlement and Redundancy Scheme.
Despite all of this, Hilliam still has hopes that the now free to play MMORPG Fury will still be successful despite the original seventy-man dev team no longer taking the helm. The new free-to-play business model as well as its upcoming free update, Age of the Chosen, will continue to go live and will continue Auran's legacy. He was quoted saying this:
I believe that once people hear about F:AotC and the new Free to Play business model, we%u2019ll start building up the player numbers and revenues that will make the game successful.
