Blizzcon ticket prices go up again |

If you're planning to attend this year's BlizzCon then you better make sure the cash you've been saving up is more than the amount you needed for last year's event. Blizzard has confirmed that for the third time in a row, ticket prices for the annual event will be increased.
For this year, tickets to the two-day fan convention will cost an extra US$ 25 over the price charged for last year. BlizzCon 2011 tickets will cost US$ 175, compared to the US$ 150 and US$ 125 for 2010 and 2009, respectively. Blizzard fans who have some extra money to burn can also buy tickets that include BlizzCon admission as well as an invite for a benefit dinner to be held the day before the event for US$ 500. The benefit is for the Children's Hospital of Orange County.
There's also a US$ 39.99 Virtual Ticket that grants access to live HD coverage from the show floor on each day of the convention, including exclusive interviews, demos, and more. Virtual Ticket coverage will be available to viewers globally as a multichannel Internet stream and also via Pay-per-View on DIRECTV in the United States. DIRECTV customers who order the televised event will receive the multichannel Internet stream at no extra charge. Those who order the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will also receive this year's BlizzCon-exclusive World of Warcraft and StarCraft II in-game items.
Regular BlizzCon tickets will be on sale at blizzcon.com on May 21 at 10AM Pacfiic and May 25 at 7PM Pacific. Approximately 200 benefit dinner tickets will be available for purchase on May 28. The event will be taking place at the Anaheim Convention Center on October 21 and 22.
