Blizzard looking for a Global Localization Manager - Image 1

We visited Blizzard's official Job Opportunities page earlier today and found out that the company is currently in need of a Global Localization Manager. This specific position is vital especially when a company is trying to export its products to other markets. The listing specifically mentioned that the manager will be handling multiple titles as well as internal tools.

If we are not mistaken, this is a clear sign that Blizzard is planning to further expand its network to other regions around the globe. This belief is further strengthened as the listing requires applicants to have intimate familiarity with all Blizzard properties StarCraft, World of Warcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo.

Speaking of which, we listed down below some of the more interesting requirements Blizzard is looking for in a Global Localization Manager applicant:
  • 4-6 years of game or software development experience on multiple shipped titles
  • Experience overseeing the localization process for multiple projects
  • Previous experience managing global resources and processes that can be applied to localizing Blizzard's games and ensuring success in the global marketplace
  • Fluency in one or more non-English languages
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Office products
  • Familiarity with the unique game mechanics inherent to the MMORPG and RTS genres
