Attention citizens of Entropia

Clenched fistThe recent turn of events at Entropia Universe is surprising to say the least. Just one week ago, we had this article detailing the various updates done to Project Entropia including the addition of AGEIA's PhysX engine. Today, residents of Planet Calypso threaten to stage a mass protest to express disappointment over these "updates."

Marco (aka AlphaGeek) is calling everyone - and he means everyone - to once again wear their Standard Issue colonist uniforms and storm (peacefully though) the Imperial Government through Mr. Berman, Trob Tedser, or any other Government agent.

Accordingly, the updates has left players frustrated, unable to even to do the basics of running/walking properly. Furthermore, Marco added that these protests were already lodged in public to their government. To their dismay, people in power had deftly dodged the the complaints.

All ubers and noobs who feel the same sentiments are requested to attend. The mass protest
is scheduled on Saturday, September 30 from 08:00 local time to 23:59 Calypso time.

Too bad...

It is too bad people can not express patience. The "right now" generation needs to go outside and smeel the fall aproaching. It is a nice time to step outside. Obviously, I am unaware of any "protest". I tend to steer clear of the silly mobs these days. KB

lol !

Now what, you expect me to believe that that sort of thread on EF is NOT a manipulation ?! LOOOL ! Get real..... Maybe MA just needed an excuse for the servers crash a couple of days, you know....LOOOL !

Macro-mindorc

Or maybe MA needs some players logged in, as for the past week Calypso looks awfull empty.....

Peaceful protests are done to further Benefit the community as a whole, not hurt it... A mere attempt to catch the governements attention to fix the problems in Eu is not silly, it's well needed... Aside from this, it gives the community a chance to unite and stand up for what they believe... you'll always encounter opposition, but that is always going to happen.. Viva La Revolucion! Ma- please fix the bugs, it's for the best of your paying customers!

The Reality of Media Hype - (RoHuGu)

Unfortunately, yet again the small and vocal minority of Entropia Univerise participants who crave attention and drama through the disproportionately represented "EntropiaForum.com" seem deluded by their own sense of self worth. Does anybody realisitc think MindArk care so much about the 20 or 30 users (out of thousands of EU participants) who seem to make 95% of the posts on EntropiaForum ?? Of the hundreds of players I've met in-game over the last year, I'd estimate less than 5% give any credence to what is said there or feel the need to make such overly dramatic postings. JR - RoHuGu

Not Marco

The original poster made a slight error. I am not Marco. I'm a citizen of the US, where I believe Marco to be a Swede along witht he rest of the Imperial Government.. ummm.. I mean MindArk. The current state as of the last VU, the game featured severe rubber banding, making user movement appear to be influenced by waaaaay too much Burbon. There has been a VU released since I initially suggested the Orange Suit Sweat / Protest party. Unfortunately, I'm at work right now and unable to see if MA actually fixed this problem or not. For the record, I am not a MA employee or representative. I'm merely an aggrevated paying customer. AG

by Realistic Entropian Society Leader as well

I think you need to check your facts with a statment as yours how is anyone to beleive anything you say. the fact's, their are 10,575 users on entropia forum their have been 37,410 threads started and i dought that only 20 to 30 users have posted this many threads. their have been 448,173 posts on the forum hardly unlikly that the 20 or 30 users that you speak of have posted that many times in their own threads. and as for the 5% of the hundreds of players that give no credence to what is said their .... well ill let my earler statment cover that

Take a reality check Billy

Billy, I suggest you re-read the above comments, I'm pretty certain myself that less than 50 users make over 90% of the post on there. You see the same old names over and over again, with the odd random comment from a newcomer thrown in. EF may have 10,575 registered accounts, but l bet less than 100 are currently active. Just do a quick survey, visit Port Atlantis and ask how many people have actually even bothered to post there. The proof is pretty self evident to me.

Take a reality check Billy

I'm afraid Jon is correct. Just look at the list of registered members at: http://www.entropiaforum.com/forums/memberlist.php? Now look at how few have actually made more than say 5 posts ever. EF is full of childish comments and immature rantings if you ask me.
by - 2006-09-27 06:45:02
Reality check ?

Mr. Jacobs, EntropiaForum has more than 1400 returning registered members every day, not counting guests, so the "100" you mentioned is far from. Just look at the "What's going on", which represents ppl online within 15 mins, and that is already more than the "100" you mentioned. But is EF really the matter here ?
by - 2006-09-27 07:17:36
Relax Mindbuster

I'm pretty sure that those aren't the comments of the real "Jon Jacobs", just someone using that name. We do see the same names making most of the posts on that forum though, so this "news" story is little more than a storm in a tea cup caused by the rantings of a forum member. Out of those "1400" daily returning registered members I also bet only about 50 actually make any posts and the rest just sit there and read out of interest. Entropiac

Ahh

an impersonator. :) Thanks ND :D

Perspective

This was just a thread that was allowed to escalate and has now since been closed. Anyone threatening such action is a disgrace to Entropia and a liability to the community. Even Marco himself has stated that such actions can get one banned. Love, Neomaven (or, am I...?) ;)
by - 2006-09-27 10:48:34
Disgrace to Entopia?

Since when is it a disgrace to take action when you see something wrong? Marco's threat to MA's customers would most likely end up as a MAJOR problem for him personally and MA if they were to actually follow through with it. I have no doubt that a few select customers would pay them a visit to "discuss" the situation.
by - 2006-09-27 11:23:34
I was right

just had to say told you so :P ok i have been a member of this community a long time and IMHO the impersonator is just someone scorn by EF and is trying to settle a score for thos of you who are not in this game P.A. is where noobs spawn for the first time so being a new commer to this game they are probley not aware of EF duh
by - 2006-09-27 13:02:42
Ok, you are right I'm sorry! :(

Having read this back and looked at the comments made on the community forums, I see that I was wrong and the whole idea of a protest is silly and pointless. MindArk are aware of the bugs in Entropia and are trying to do everything they can to try and fix them. This idea of a protest is really just a silly attention seeking idea which will achieve nothing nor has any real point. We should all work with MindArk to improve things, not against them.
by - 2006-09-27 13:48:24
wow you can impersonat me to

thats so smart why cant you use your own name insted of trying to pretend you are me allthough you did get this part right "MindArk are aware of the bugs in Entropia and are trying to do everything they can to try and fix them." and this one "We should all work with MindArk to improve things, not against them." i still dont agree with you or your tactics nice try but you did it allready with neverdie and it dident work
by - 2006-09-27 14:12:38

Why are you posting using my name now?? Your tactic won't work either, at least don't make so many spelling mistakes.

well i figured you would do this again so i got registered post # 20 and # 22 are not the real Billy (BB) that posts on EF
by - 2006-09-29 07:43:22

How immature! Both of you can attempt to pretend to be and fail. (#9 and #22, those posts are a joke) Please do not try to tarnish my good reputation.

Agreed - EF if you look carefully is an orchistrated soap opera - anyone outof script is locked or banned. Sad :(
