First, a backgrounder. The Desert Racetrack is protected by huge stones along the perimeter, and was in fact once a peaceful and quiet place. This peace and quiet was disturbed when the forces of the Iron Castle came and recklessly transformed the place into a test racetrack for their armored vehicles.
They did their operations carelessly and ignorantly, thereby not knowing the dangers that would befall them upon awakening the evil entities slumbering from within.
If you happen to traverse this path, resting at the Racetrack is a much-needed reprieve as this is considered to be the last pit stop for you to refresh your supplies. Meanwhile, the southwest corner of the map reveals a small repair station left to decay by its former keepers, the technicians. While you are free to approach this station, be warned that the law of economics still do apply. Therefore because of the high demand of limited resources, you may very well expect that the prices will be affected as well by increasing.
Outside and beyond of this station lies the large-scale test tracks covering the rest of the map. However, these are now controlled by monsters, thereby control is just as rare as comfort is in the desert.
Some of the nasties and baddies you should arm yourself against in this place would be the Blazing Scorpions, Smoking Doormen, Blazing Smokers and Desert Worms. Race Judges are also there, and while they are not out to maul you, they are the ones responsible for the exploitation of the resources, hence becoming baddies in effect.
You may choose to risk your neck and challenge them to a fight, but you must be sure you are ready to take them on. Others would advise that you enjoy this reprieve and gather enough strength to aid you in the upcoming deadlier quests, but that is your call.
