At the recently held AlwaysOn Venture Summit East, Turbine Inc., along with the Northeast 100 Top Companies for 2008 were honored for their efforts. Turbine, the company that brought The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, Dungeons & Dragons Online, and Asheron's Call just among others got the top position to take home the win.
The online entertainment veteran was recognized globally for its industry-leading technology platform and groundbreaking game graphics.
Furthermore, the company was able to demonstrate its ability to create and operate massive online worlds that was able to foster powerful social gaming communities.
Having attained such a feat, president and CEO of Turbine, Jim Crowley said:
