€1 million revenue expected from Battlestar Galactica per month

Expectations are high for Bigpoint's BattleStar Galactica Online -- as in a cool €1 million revenue high.

So said Chief Operating Officer Nils-Holger Henning, the MMO actually had "a better start than we had with anything, ever."

Simply put, they're very confident that they've got a blockbuster game in their hands. For them, one could be considered a blockbuster game if it "has €1 million-plus monthly revenue potential.”

They don't feel they should have any trouble meeting this lofty expectation, however. "The feedback we've had, the activity inside of the game - from the user behaviour - shows us that we're building one of the next blockbusters in Bigpoint's portfolio. We think it has a bigger potential than every other game in our portfolio, taken individually."

BattleStar Galactica Online is a tie-up with the popular SyFY TV show of the same title, and is currently undergoing open beta. It should be out in the next few months.
