Looking For Directions? Save Google Map Locations To Your iPhone

However, looking up a location every time you need to reference your map can be time-consuming and a little annoying. Luckily for iPhone users, there is a shortcut to save your Google map locations on your iPhone. Look up a destination or an address once, follow a few simple steps, and never have to search for it again. While a simple trick, this is a real time-saver when you’re feeling lost and need directions right away. The steps are easy and will no doubt save you time.

1) Open Google Maps, and tap the search bar. Type in your destination or desired street address, then tap the Search button to locate it on the map. 2) Make sure you have the right place, identified by a text bubble that will appear next to the red dropped pin. There will be a blue arrow next to the name or address of your destination – tap it. 3) An Info screen will appear with the address, phone number, and options for directions to your destination. Ignore these for the moment, and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Select the lower right-hand button that offers the option “Add to Bookmarks”. A new screen will pop up, enabling you to adjust the name, if need be (for instance, you could label an address as “Bill’s House”) and then tap “Save”. 4) Now the Info screen will appear again, and you can proceed to find directions, place a phone call, etc. But the next time you need to access this location, simply open Google Maps and tap the blue book icon in the search bar at the top of the screen. In the bottom menu bar, the left-hand option “Bookmarks” will allow you to access your saved locations. If you forgot to save a destination, the “Recents” option next to Bookmarks will have a record of your latest searches.
