Don’t worry. Let us introduce you to a free software known as Geotagging Security which can disable geo-tagging images on your iPhone. This is available for Windows and can help you remove GPS information present on photos. You can select photos on which you do not want GPS coordinates to be shown and then post them online.
In the guide mentioned below we will show you how to use Geotagging Security to remove location information safely on photos on your iPhone. Once you do this you will definitely have some piece of mind before you publish photos on the web next time.
You need to first download the Geotagging Security software from the website- Geotagsecurity.com.
- Copy the images from which you want geo-tagging information to be removed from your iPhone onto a folder on your computer.
- Once you download and install the software double click on the application shortcut on your desktop.
- Once the application opens click on browse. This allows you to select the folder in which the images are stored.
- Select the exact folder and then click on OK.
- Next, click on Start. The software will start scanning the photos and removing the geo-tags from them.
- Once the process is done you will see a review screen. This will show exactly how many images were scanned, how many images had geo-tags and for how many images the geo-tag information was removed.
- On clicking next you will get to review the log file. This will give you information on what changes were made to your images. After you see this screen you can exit the window and return back to the desktop.
- You can copy the images which are now geo-tag free into your iPhone.
