It is the largest application store available on any mobile OS. It has more than double the apps on the Android market and others such as nokia ovi store/blackberry’s apps store are far behind. This is one reason why the iPhone is considered as the best mobile device in the world. To start using the app store you must first create an iTunes account/Apple ID. You do not need to provide credit card details to make the account, but when you want to purchase apps you will have to provide these details.

So now you are armed with an account and ID. What do you do? Simply tap on the App store icon on your iPhone (the one with a blue background and an ‘A’ in white). Welcome to the wonderful world of Apple app store. You are now exposed to more than 300,000 apps. Now, with so much choice, where do you start off? Here is list of some apps you could start downloading at first.

Angry Birds: The iPhone is an ultimate mobile gaming device. With hundreds of games available we thought you could start at angry birds, one of the most popular iPhone games. There are many other games including 3D first person shooter games such as Infinity Blade or Rage 3D.
Star Walk: Want to see something cool your iPhone can do then, download this app. It allows you to see different constellation in the sky through your iPhones camera. For $2.99 it is well worth the experience.
Yelp: This is a free app which can use your GPS to locate your position and tell you about restaurants, theatres and places of interest nearby.
Find my iPhone: This is a free app for iPhone 4 users with the ability to locate your lost iPhone. For a review of this app you could search this blog.
Pandora: This free app allows music streaming and is one of the best music apps around. You do require internet connectivity for this app.
Social Media apps: You can of course download social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter and keep in touch with your friends and family.
