Control your Apple TV or iTunes with your iPhone using the Remote App

First off one of the best features of this app to me is that it's free! The Remote app functions via WiFi and has better functionality in my humble opionion than those old school, boring remotes we are all using. One major plus is that it's much easier for populating text such as common searches or your passwords.

If you've got an iPhone, iPad or even an iPod touch you've got all you need. The remote app now includes support of Apple's Retina Display on the iPhone 4 and latest versions of the iPod Touch. There have even been updates to the interface to take advantage of the iPad's interface. Even better, you can now add several different iTunes libraries so you have the ability to have custom playback on your different devices.

Here is all you need to do in order to get Apple's Remote App.

Download Remote for your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
Open the Remote app on your device
Switch on Home Sharing on iTunes on your Windows or Mac PC
Put in your Apple ID and Password (unfortunately at this time you aren't able to use your iPhone to enter these details)
As soon as you receive confirmation for iTunes and/or Apple TV select 'Done'
Now you will find the list of all of the iTunes libraries and Apple TV's
Select the device you want to control with the Remote app.
