  • US$ 199 and US$ 299 price-points to be maintained
  • 3.2 Megapixel camera
  • Video recording & editing capabilities
  • Ability to send a picture & video via MMS
  • Discontinuation of the metal band surrounding the edge of the device
  • OLED screen
  • 1.5X The battery life
  • Double the RAM and processing power
  • Built-in FM transmitter
  • Apple logo on the back to light up
  • Rubber-tread backing
  • Sleeker design
  • Built-in compass
  • Revolutionary combination of the camera, GPS, compass, and Google maps to identify photo and inform about photo locations.

» there's no need for a new iphone i think

think of it.... i bought the phone exactly the day it reached the stores.... and im still on contract so i cannot swich phone at least for others 6 months ..... why would apple do this mayor improvement if not even their hardcore fans can swich?

and still, it is selling like hotcakes the way it is and iphone os 3.0 will create even more buzz .... i just dont se a reason to change the phone right now.

if you ask me.. i'll say some day next year will be a kind of obvios anuncement.. so all the 2 years contract apple*****s will sign again and buy the new phone...

» it doesn't matter if you are on contract

if you had the first iphone and then bought the 3g, you would know that if you buy the new iphone then your contract will be renewed another two years. no extra fines or cancellations. If you are on contract with the 3g there is no charge for a new "iphone" contract. you are eligible for for the new iphone prices if you are opening a new line with at+t, upgrading from a previous iphone, or if you are eligible for an upgrade from another at+t phone. Any other situation has to pay around 200 dollars more for the phone
