New members of iPod family to be revealed September 9? |

Apple Insider is "independently confirming" that there will be a media event happening on Wednesday, September 9th, hosted by Apple, for them to launch their new lines of iPods, along with a bevy of other music-related announcements.For this event, Apple is expected to introduce new versions of iPod nano and iPod touch, which will both reportedly feature new point-and-shoot cameras. But that's not all. Many are also abuzz that Apple just might introduce a variety of new social networking features.
Still not sure on whether or not the event will be hosted yet again at San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center, but given the proximity of the event, we're assuming confidently that more details will be trickling out soon enough.

This is going to be my first Ipod Touch :D, my bros got the 2nd gen at Christmas, i had money but i was saving it for something important, but now i have more money (birthday coming up :D) and I'll be able to get this new one
Hopefully there will be a microphone as well but it's no biggy.

Just come out with a new ipod nano? I guess times flies. I wonder if it's going to be a big change from their newest nanos.
It's been about a year I guess. I believe the 4th gen nano released in Sept 08.
It's cool that they update them often but if they need to bring a new one out each year the hardware changes should be considerably different, and not just in terms of shape.
There is only so much that they can improve
-better quality screen
-better batteries
-camera
-microphone (for voice recording lectures)and also for video...
-what next you say??? How would you like it if they put in a special improvement, one so original it'll blow your mind...
