Picsoft Studio has announced the upcoming release of Tiny Defense for iPhone.
Tiny Defense is scheduled to be available on App Store on Sept 22, 2010 for $2.99. Tiny Defense is a unique side-view, grid base tower defense game.
The game takes place on Green Planet where player must help the cute little robots who call themselves "Minirobots" to protect their planet against evil robot army known as "The Machines" who want to turn it into a space resort for huge profit.
The most notable feature of Tiny Defense is its side-view aspect that allows the difference in terrain's type and height on every game level (unlike the top-view or planar-view found in most tower defense games). This also allows each unit type to present its characteristic more properly such as; enemy ground units fall down from higher ground to the lower one while air units fly straight.
Tiny Defense also features variation in the environment that significantly affects the gameplay. For example, there are underwater levels that filled with fast submarine units and levels with hazard that causes damage to player's robots.
Tiny Defense features bright cartoony graphics, funny characters and easy-to-learn gameplay (yet has a good depth for strategy gamers). It can be enjoyable for people of all ages.
The game contains 150 levels and 30 mini-games (with some boss fight that is not just an oversized enemy with 10x amount of health, a 'Real' Boss fight.) that offer over 20 hours of play time. There are many things to enjoy in this game: 40 robot (tower) types against 32 enemy types with tons of upgrades, unlockables, achievements, original soundtracks and full of surprises.
