SWARM is out for Kindle and Android |

You might remember a feature I wrote towards the end of November detailing my beta with a mobile game called SWARM. Quite honestly, it was one of the most exciting experiences I have ever had with an early build of a product. Today I come to you with some very exciting news. If you're looking to see what all the fuss is about, now you can on your Android or Kindle device.

In case you happened to miss my previous write up, I will detail for you the basic premise behind what SWARM is all about. SWARM was created by the geniuses over at E4 Software. This is a game that blends old school mechanics with new industry ideas to create a refreshing mix that feels both familiar and surprising all at the same time. To better explain, you play the game as circular creature that roles around each respective level collecting as many coins as possible. If you just said it sounds a little bit like Pacman you may be right, but the influences don't stop there. As you travel through each area you'll come across enemies known as the SWARM that will chase you around each land until they hit an electrical barrier or wall.
It sounds a bit old hat until you hear about the newer stuff. The levels you'll be playing aren't just simple ramps or hills. Instead you'll be graced with the likes of a half-pipe not too different from what you see in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. This means that in order to get all of your coins collected you have to gather momentum with your tilt in order to make some pretty insane jumps. There are even speed boosters thrown in for good measure. In addition you'll also be able to choose from a variety of different characters with unique special abilities that will be offered both out of the gate and as DLC down the line. Sounds like a pretty awesome experience right? If you've got an Android or Kindle you can get it on the Amazon store for just $1.99! You won't regret it!
