Playing Theme Park Games cost more than going to a real one |

Bullfrog Productions were once synonymous with some of the best games on PC ever. I know that may be a biased remark but if someone ever says they feel like they have a bloaty head, my mind instantly goes to getting a machine to pop their head then blow them back to normal again...I'm just that kinda guy. One of the last games they made before they disappeared into the great digital beyond was Theme Park.
Up there with the Rollercoaster Tycoon series as one of the most fun, strategic and interesting game series...if you're into that sort of thing. The game was then brought back by EA Games and released in a free to play model for the iPhone. The game's iBoot gave players the chance to muck around in a small amusement park where most of the world had already been placed kind of ruining half the fun of the Theme Park series.
As players would level up in the game, they could expand the park with more attractions like rollercoasters, ferris wheels and fairy flodd. However, when you reach a certain amount of experience, by tapping on those amusement rides every few minutes (tedious, anyone?), you'd have to pay for the in-game premium currency...which cost real money.
Players would be looking at spending around $10 on average to get a few rides but some of them, by themselves would cost up to 60 American Dollars on just a single attraction. Sure a great business model but you know you could go to Six Flags in the US for $35 or get a Family Pass at Dreamworld for just over $200.
The game is currently available via the Canadian iTunes but will be making it's way to other territories soon.

I don't giv'a toss wot their reasons are for trying to CON us consumers any longer.
I mean they do it with DLC all the time.
It's about time we make a STAND.
Honestly....the Gaming industry is really becoming a JOKE!
They're not content with millions - billions.....they're after billions - trillions.
