New Katamari rolling into the App Store

Namco Bandai has announced a brand new Katamari game for iOS devices. Slated to arrive next week, Katamari Amore sees players "control the Prince as he rolls his Katamari and wraps up various objects to increase the Katamari's size."

The game will feature 24 missions at launch, six of which are completely new stages. Also, expect to play across four different mission modes, including a story mode, time attack, an exact size challenge and an eternal mode. Additionally, Namco is also throwing a special themed stage with Pac-Man making an appearance. Pretty cool, right?

Similar to its iOS predecessor I Love Katamari, Katamari Amore will also support various control methods, "accelerometer or virtual Pad controls, the latter including single or double virtual pad options." Namco also hinted that additional "content packs with past and future stages are in development." Aside from Amore, an all new PS Vita Katamari game is also in development. Any of you guys played the previous iOS title? It was a bit buggy, so i;m hoping this one will deliver. anyways, it will be available for the iPhone and iPad next Thursday, September 29th for US$ 3.99.
