2K Sports has announced that they are bringing the latest iteration of their basketball sim franchise to the App Store with the upcoming release of NBA 2K12. This marks the first time the NBA 2K series will be made available to the iOS platform.

The mobile version of the game features "re-imagined control scheme" that promises to offer user-friendly controls that allows the "broadcast-style presentation to shine," and much like its PC and console counterpart, it will also include all 30 NBA teams with all 2010-11 rosters, that you can play in full season or quick play modes. Last year's Jordan Challenge will also be in hand if you want to step back into the shoes of His Airness.
“The iOS platform has quickly become one of the most popular destinations for gaming, and we wanted to give fans the chance to play NBA 2K12 with a touch of their finger – anywhere and anytime,” said Greg Thomas, president of product development for 2K Sports. “We’re excited to bring the authentic NBA 2K basketball experience to the mobile games market and we hope fans will be too.”
NBA 2K12 will be available for all second-generation iOS devices, the same day as its PC and console counterpart on October 4, 2011. With the NBA season still in jeopardy, NBA 2K12 could be the only way for die hard fans to show their passion to the game.
