Kale in Dinoland heads to the iPhone |

Nostalgic Game Boy title coming to the iPhone in glorious monochrome graphics.
The folks at the Rotting Cartridge announced today that they are developing a remake of Kale in Dinoland, a nostalgic action platformer originally made by SkySoft in 1992 for the Game Boy. If you haven't played the original, the primary mechanic of the game is to ride your enemies, which in the process grants you the power to control them. Check out the video below.
"We at the Rotting Cartridge believe that instead of - making - a new game, we would just rip off an existing game and port it to the iPhone," explains the studio's founder. "The original Kale In Dinoland was met with...lukewarm responses, but we at the Rotting Cartridge thought it needed a second chance - that this was a game that had potential, but because of the technical restrictions imposed by the GameBoy hardware, wasn't able to meet that potential."
Kale in Dinoland will be available on the iPhone later this fall. I really dig the art style of this one and the nostalguc appeal. Here's hoping they can also release this game on other platforms.
