iPhone 4S announced

It looks very similar to last year's iPhone 4, with an amped up specs.

Apple today announced its latest iPhone iteration, the iPhone 4S. Though many have speculated that the Cupertino company would unveil the widely anticipated iPhone 5, the iPhone 4S packs a lot of punch than its predecessor.

It features Apple’s own dual-core A5 chip on board that promises blazing fast performance and stunning graphics, an 8 megapixel camera with advanced optics, full 1080p HD resolution video recording capabilities, comes with iOS 5, iCloud and Siri, an "intelligent assistant that helps you get things done" which combines voice activation and artificial intelligence. "Siri helps you make calls, send text messages or email, schedule meetings and reminders, make notes, search the Internet, find local businesses, get directions and more," just by asking.

“iPhone 4S plus iOS 5 plus iCloud is a breakthrough combination that makes the iPhone 4S the best iPhone ever,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “While our competitors try to imitate iPhone with a checklist of features, only iPhone can deliver these breakthrough innovations that work seamlessly together.”

The iPhone 4S is slated to arrive on October 14 in either black or white at a suggested retail price of US$ 199 for the 16GB model, US$ 299 for the 32GB model and US$ 399 for the new 64GB model. The iPhone 4 on the other hand will sell for US$ 99. It will be available from the Apple Online Store, Apple’s retail stores and through AT&T, Sprint, Verizon Wireless and select Apple Authorized resellers.

It's just stupid the way people treat iPhone announcements like it's some major console release and get all excited about it, i mean you get excited now but in a few years Apple will do everything in their power to make sure this get's outdated to force you to buy a new one, and now the selling 3 different models at once you gonna have the same app compatibility crap to deal with as on Android.

ites retardly ccheap in the US >< omg here in belgium the cheapest iphone costs 380 euro ( 320 dollar ) and the iphone 4 32gig costs like 780euro ( 720 dollar ) FFS >< !!!!

I will pass for iPhone 6 unless iPhone 5 is next year then I might get that one instead. No iPhone 4s this year, sorry.

It like going from 3g to the 3gs. What's different? The letter s (stands for sucking your money away). Now it's iphone 4 turn going to the iphone 4s. Expect this for iphone 5 and iphone 5s.

It's actually here's comparable for Nintendo fans. going from NDS to NDS lite.

At least with NDS you get noticeable improvements, cos they get lighter, bigger screens, memory slot, cameras etc. and all the games work on all the models.

I actually noticed a helluva improvement from 3g to 3gs, for example 3g runs ios4 like crap and the 3gs runs it smooth
