iPhone - Image 1Good news for all the iPhone devs out there. Apple has finally released the second beta version of the iPhone 3.0 software. This beta release reportedly runs faster and is more stable than the previous beta.

The release, labeled iPhone OS beta 2 build 7A259, also came with a notification telling devs that they can now start making apps that use the company's new Push notification service.

Devs were also given more info on how to add purchasing functionalities to both existing and future apps. This technical info will also appear in an App Store Kit reference guide.
