iOS release of FF Tactics: War of the Lions delayed yet again

Square Enix has once again pushed the iOS port of the epic strategy title, Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.

"Let me deeply apologise," notes Square Enix assistant producer Shiina on their Facebook page. "We couldn't release FFT:WoL(iPhone) in June and Spring has been over. I'm really sorry.

"So now the release date is set to July...twen..blah..blah.,'" she continued... "or it could be the end of July."

The game's producer also revealed that the game will not be a universal app. An iPad version will be released a month after the iPhone version hits the App Store. The game will be compatible with all iPhone 3GS and above, and will include Retina display support. Bad news though for those looking forward to play this game online, the multiplayer mode has been scrapped for all for iOS devices.

War of the Lions was originally slated for release last year. But due to some problems they encountered while porting the game, the publisher decided to rescheduled it for a Spring 2011 release. Look's like we'll have to wait a bit more for this one to arrive.
