Debunking iPhone 5 Rumors |
Listed in: News, Rumors, Apple iPhone 5 Tags: apple, iphone 5, release date, rumors
Apple rumors seem to be as widespread as spam emails and phony Facebook profiles. The brand has generated such a buzz over the years from its iPhone, iPad, and other gadgets that its fanboys and tech junkies are constantly brainstorming about what the next Apple releases will feature. Keeping with that tradition is the iPhone 5. So, which rumors have some backing to them, and which can you throw out?

It’s hard to say which rumors are 100 percent true, but you can probably count on getting your hands on the new iPhone 5 sometime this month. No release date is final, but keep the final two weeks of September open on your calendar if you plan to be one of those waiting in line outside the Apple Store.
Now, here are some iPhone 5 rumors that seem sketchy:
Retina Display 4 inches or larger – not only could this make the iPhone 5 clunky to hold in one hand, scaling up would cause pixels per inch to drop
Near-Field Communications – a metal backing for the iPhone 5 would block NFC antenna signals, disabling the opportunity for this mobile payment technology to work.
Asymmetric Screw – this rumor of a screw designed by Apple to keep customers from opening their devices was created to generate a frenzy and was eventually shot down.
There’s a load of other iPhone 5 rumors out there, but luckily you won’t have to wait much longer to see what the real deal has to offer.
Will you be snatching up an iPhone 5? Why or why not?

I'm really surprised Apple hasn't announced a keynote yet. The keynote should be the second week of Sept if the above is all true.
