Deathsmiles coming to the App Store

Cave's hit gothic-lolita smash up is heading to the Apple App Store early next month.

Fresh from its Xbox 360 outing, Cave today announced that they are bringing Deathsmiles to the App Store starting on July 7. The iOS version of the hit Japanese arcade shooter features a new character, Princess Tiara, and an original story. It also includes an Arcade mode that will sure please hardcore fans of the Japanese shooter.

The game wil be compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 3rd Gen,iPad and iPad 2. For the pricing, during the first four days of its release, the game will cost US$ 4.99/£2.99/€3.99, afterwards, the price will go up to US$ 8.99/£5.49/€6.99.

To give you a taste of the action, Cave will be holding a 30-minute Ustream event on Friday, July 1st. The stream will include a simultaneous English translation, detailing the game, the new character, and more. Deathsmiles is just one of the many apps appearing in the App Store everyday.
