iPhone Hacks: VoiceActivator Tweak

Voice Control is especially useful when you are driving and can’t use your hands for controlling your iPhone. A developer of iPhone jailbroken apps, chpwn has developed an amazing new tweak which will allow you to use voice control for several purposes. Chpwn is the developer of several useful jailbroken apps such as ProSwitcher, Infinidock, Infiniboard, Infinifolder etc and this new app known as VoiceActivator promises to be really exciting for jailbroken iPhone users.

As per chpwn, you can completely customize your Voice Control commands. You will be able to take full control over your Voice Control feature. Apart from the usual range of stuff you will additionally be able to Launch apps, use Activator actions, open URL’s etc. For example, you can customize VoiceActivator to perform an Activator action such as take a screenshot of the screen. Once you have installed this tweak, Go into settings, then VoiceActivator, and then add command. In the commands sections input ‘screenshot’, and then tap on action, then activator. Go back to command, tap on configure. You will be given a list of options. Scroll down and select ‘Take screenshot’. Go back, and then save. To make it work, hold on the home button for a few secs until the Voice Control screen appears and say ‘Screenshot’. Voila, a screen shot of your iPhone home page will be taken. You can watch the VoiceActivator tweak in action for a jailbroken iPod (of course works for a jailbroken iPhone) in this YouTube video. But one thing is for sure, once you master this art you will find it very hard to stay away from using it since it becomes very convenient.
