What is Game Center?

Apple's new social gaming network. Your users can invite friends to play a game, start a multiplayer game through matchmaking, track their achievements, and compare their high scores on a leader board.

Why use Game Center?

It's going to have the ability to 'Matchmake', not in the traditional sense of the word, but in the gaming sense. You will be able to find players on par with you around the world, resulting in a far more 'equal' matching of gameplay, and more fun all round. Plus having one central place to 'be' when gaming on your iPhone will mean that all new games will take advantage of Game Center and it will make the gaming experience more fun all round.

Where can I find people to play with on Game Center?

If you are a beta tester and looking to test out Game Center, leave your username below and get testing. Over the next few weeks there will be some apps that feature Game Center debuting, so build up your buddy list and test the system out.
