Stay Alive is one of simplest and most fun games available on the iPhone or Android. You play as a little rocket hurtling through space simply trying to, as the title suggests, stay alive. The creator Rob Allison, made waves over the past month where he announced the effectiveness of online word of mouth rather than traditional methods of advertising (i.e. TV, video game shows, etc.). I asked to talk to him about his work, reddit and the awesomeness that is Stay Alive.

QJ: To begin how would you describe yourself and what you do?

RA: I'm 26, live in the UK and I have been working as a web developer/designer for a year now. I began to learn how to make mobile games in April 2011.

QJ: What history did you have with game development before last year?

RA: At first I was very confused by it all, as I had very little development experience, but after a while of reading tutorials/forum posts it became easier and a lot of fun! In my spare time I like to play and write music, as well as(obviously) making mobile games.
