MemTool - View Memory and Process Info - Image 1Cydia has once again come out with a rather useful application for iPhone users.

This homebrew app is called MemTool, and it tracks memory usage of all the processes currently running on your iPhone. Useful to keep track of your limited 128 MB of memory.

You can view processes and their memory usage in an alphabetical list, or in order of how much memory is being taken up by the app.

The best thing about MemTool is it will help you free up as much memory as possible. You can kill a process directly from MemTool, or it can clean up as much memory as it can by itself for you.

Be warned that one of the program's pages is in Chinese. If you unwittingly land yourself there and you don't have the proper language skills to rescue you, just click the button in the upper right corner.

The app can be downloaded in Cydia, via iSpazio.
