iDrums v1.0: virtual drum set for iPhone and iPod Touch

One good thing about device that have a touchscreen is that it lets developers make some rather interesting rhythm-based games and applications. Take this release for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, for example.

It's not a game per se, but iDrums v1.0 lets iPhone and iPod Touch users play a virtual drum set on their devices. Once you start it up, it shows you a complete drum kit. Tapping the drums and cymbals plays the sound of that particular instrument.

There's still a few kinks to be worked out on this release, such as a bit of a delay between tapping the screen and actually hearing the sound. All in all, though, this could prove helpful to drummers who want to try out a beat.

iDrums v1.0 is available for free on the iSpazio repository through Cydia.
