In the release notes, iH8Sn0w mentioned how Verizon iPhone owners who wanted to jailbreak became frustrated after Apple released iOS 4.2.7 in a very short succession after the release of the CDMA version of iPhone. This made an untethered jailbreak option unavailable. However, fighting from being under the weather, iH8Sn0w finally released this version with a new payload allowing it to be untethered.
You can download the latest version of Sn0wBreeze 2.6.1 by doing a quick Google search. Also make sure that your Verizon iPhone is running the latest version of iOS i.e. 4.2.7.
And in case you are wondering about how this process is done, then simply check the Jailbreak guide for Snowbreeze on iOS 4.3 on iPhoneUserGuide.com. The steps remain the same except that you would require 4.2.7 iPSW instead of 4.3.1iPSW.
But if you are still unsure about jailbreaking and need more reasons to take the plunge then, stay tuned on iPhoneUserGuide.com for more tweaks via Cydia which will help in changing your mind.| 50% of voters think this story ROCKS! |
