This tweak is called as ‘Keypad Transparency’. The name of the tweak is so self explanatory that it may not require a genius to guess what this does. In short, this tweak on your jailbroken iPhone will allow you to control the opacity of the lock screen keypad on your iPhone. Once you get this app downloaded and installed the opacity of your keypad will be set at default at 40%. However, you can easily change this using this tweak. On the standard iPhone the transparency is 100% and this tweak allows you to change this from 100% to all the way down. But how far down can you actually go? Using Keypad Transparency you can go all the way down to 2% for the opacity of your iPhone’s keypad. But at 2% you will not be able to see any of the numbers. Unless you have memorized every inch of your iPhone’s screen this opacity level is not recommended. In the event you don’t have such a memory and have kept the ‘erase after 10 failed attempts’ option on you can definitely get into trouble. You can easily get comfortable using the transparency at around 30-50%. By keeping the keypad lighter, this tweak can definitely be useful as a safety feature when you unlock your iPhone in crowded areas. The best thing about this app apart from its opacity feature is that it does not have any bugs and it will also not drain battery out of your jailbroken iPhone. So you can leave this app running all the time. This app is free and you just need to open Cydia on your jailbroken iPhone, click on the search tab and type in ‘Keypad Transparency’. After you have downloaded and installed it, go into Settings.app and search for the keypad transparency option. You can adjust the opacity of your lock screen key pad from here.
