The cake was not a lie - Portal clone in development

The cake was not a lie. Touch Arcade has just confirmed that an iPhone clone for Valve's Portal indeed exists and developers are currently hard at work in fine-tuning the game, which according to the developers is still quite buggy. Fact remains, last week's vid was legit, and there's a new one today to follow it up.

Still sounds like there is a lot more to be done, particularly with the game's controls. There's also the matter of copyright. Valve owns rights to Portal, and I doubt that ol' Gabe will let this one slide. Despite this confirmation, we still shouldn't get our hopes up just yet.

Yea, the only thing related to Valve that will get my hopes up is Gabe having a heart attack. He deserves it, all that bull Microsoft has been feeding him has a lot of cholesterol in it anyway.

as much as that's cool and all, but how are you supposed to do those "omg spin around and shoot a portal in mid air then flip over and shoot another" moves with that slow interface?

Can someone make a newspost about this:

Story is about this: "A young Chinese worker suspected of stealing a prototype for the fourth generation iPhone has committed suicide."

Why does everything needed to be squashed on the iPhone?

Just because you can say how cool the iPhone is because it can "run Portal"?

This is going to be a really slow game... unlike the real Portal.

This is turning out good, and if the creator of the clone can't get it on the App Store, he can get it on the Jailbreaker's app store!
