Seaman Dreamcast creator brings Gabo to iPhone |
Ó
Remember Seaman on the Dreamcast? It was just as weird as having a fish with a man's face as a pet - but then again, that was the entire point of the game, wasn't it? Yoot Saito, the creator of that game, is bringing the same kind of simulated fun on the iPhone, this time with an ape called Gabo.
Gabo actually has its roots in Seaman 2. The monkey appeared in the previous aquatic-pet sim, and now he gets his own game. As Saito describes his project, it's an experiment for the iPhone platform.
From the looks of the gameplay demo, Gabo is going to be the same interact-with-virtual-pet simulation - it probably uses parts of the AI found in Seaman.
As touchArcade points out, the game was supposed to be released earlier this month in Japan, with a western release in the future, however, it hasn't been available yet.
