Resident Evil 4 iPhone - Image 1

If you somehow doubted that the iPhone version of Resident Evil 4 we posted about a couple of days ago was real (I'm looking at you, FelisCatusLover), well then here you go. Capcom has officially declared it 100% authentic.

The announcement was made through the company's Twitter account. The game will apparently be out by the end of the month in Japan. The rest of the world will be getting it "shortly thereafter." We'll bring you more details as soon as we get them

LOL! Well, happy to hear it's real. But wonder when "shortly thereafter" is. Hope it's out by mid August in America at the latest.

» I don't get it

why would you want to play a watered down version of a game when you could find the far superior version for cheaper? I guess devs keep make it cause people buy it, I would rather play a completely original new game suited for the platform then some big name game that plays awful

I dont know how good the game will be but I know I loved the console version, I literally beat it 19 times in a row on GameCube (I remember cause it said "Round 19" in the save box). Then when I sold my GameCube I traded it for the PS2 version and got up to Round 9. I hope it's as fun as it was on the consoles.

Price point will speak volumes as to whether I buy this or wait for it to drop in price. If they do anything like EA, it will be $9.99 at launch and drop price every 3-4 months after that until its $2.99. I could see myself paying $9.99 if its a really good port.
