Love the flashy blocks and sounds of Lumines? Q Entertainment producer James "Milkman" Mielke (who also happens to be the former EIC of EGM) has revelead that they will be taking the franchise into the iPhone around mid-to-late September.

Info is still scarce about the new Lumines, but we can expect new content. Mielke has revealed that the iPhone iteration will feature new skins and music. Lumines Supernova and Lumines Live, on the other hand, will be getting price drops as part of of Q Entertainment's Lumines marketing push.

Q Entertainment is also re-releasing The Heavenly Star and Breeze Skins featuring the Genki Rockets, and it might be possible for the publisher to bring Genki Rockets to Supernova. As far as release goes, no date has been set, but the marketing stint may start as early as October.

» Sounds cool, but.

They're going to need to slow it down some. Lumines 1 (2 is junk) is my favorite game on the PSP. That being said, I'm glad to see it coming to my iPhone as well. However, this game has always required a great deal of precision and speed during some levels that I doubt a touch screen can match. I'm hoping for the best yet expecting something just underneath that.

» hmm..

price drop?.. then i might get it for the ps3 then.. coz right now the price is kinda expensive, given this kind of game and ive already played it on psp anyway.. so if they make it a bit cheaper, then this is gonna be a great addition to PSN games..
