Is this cake a lie? Video of Portal running on iPhone 3G

Don't get your hopes up too high yet. This is just a video of what is supposedly an iPhone version of Valve's critically-lauded game, Portal. Just like the Resident Evil 4 game we saw a few days ago the authenticity of the video has already been brought into question. The RE4 game ultimately ended up to be real. This one's still up in the air, but real or not, it certainly looks pretty damn good.

The game was supposedly made using the Unity engine, a multi-platform development tool that has also been used in iPhone games such as Zombieville U.S.A. OS X Reality points out that Valve has made no announcements or anything that point to an official iPhone port of Portal, so this could be just another awesome fan project. Then again, like the video itself asks, is this cake a lie? I bet a lot of Portal fans hope it isn't.

The sensitivity is too slow to pull off some of the puzzles in the real game. Looks good though.

My hopes are actually down now, I don't want Valve's crut infesting the iPhone. There a bunch of Microsoft fanboys anyway, especially the fat cow that runs Valve, why cant they just stay away from the iPhone like they do the PS3?

It looks real but its only a test as the video shows.

there is no menu, it goes straight into the game which says either its a very good sync'd video or its a early beta.



I thinnk Portal was good. if it comes to the iphone then ok. not missing it if it doesnt.
