Apple has just gotten another big gun in its bid for the iPhone to be recognized as a legitimate handheld gaming system. According to IGN, MachineWorks Northwest and Hands-On Mobile will be bringing the hit Xbox 360 and PC FPS Prey to the iPhone.

As an FPS, precision controls is critical to Prey. To counteract the lack of analog sticks or a USB mouse and keyboard jack, the iPhone version of Prey will instead be using on-screen controls. See the pics below for a look.

The long bars at the corners are used to make Prey hero Tommy move and look. The buttons next to the bars control various actions such as attacking, weapon switching, and engaging Spirit Walk. The movement bars can also be moved to wherever you want them on the iPhone screen. You can even change the transparency of all of Prey's controls.

Prey's iPhone port is expected to come out this month. You can check out more images by clicking on the Via link below.

it is worth my money, ill buy it. alot of the games on the iphone with good graphics lack game play, at least to me. but i have been waiting for a really good game that makes me want to burn my phone battery out. it would be great if they brought a nice action rpg to the iphone also something like final fantasy or kingdom hearts.

But I'd prefer a great JRPG on the iphone. I'd pay 20-30$ for if made by big names like squeenix or level5.

I'd say JRPG instead of action ones because of how the iphone is made. Touch controls were MADE for JRPG, lol.

And I'm 100% with you for phoenix wright. I can't understand why studios are not doing big titles like that that fits the iphone better instead of doing only shooters and action packed games on a console (well, it's a console) that NEEDS turn based games! lol
