Infinity Blade, built on the Unreal Engine, was an incredible example of the possibilities of mobile gaming. Its rich colors, complex storyline and hours of gameplay led it to become an addition to millions of iPhone home screens, as gamers flocked to what many considered the first true gaming experience for iOS gamers.

Thanks to the huge success the game has experience on iOS platforms, it looks like a whole new group of gamers are getting a chance to explore its fantasy world. Epic Games has just announced that Infinity Blade FX will start showing up in arcade form at Dave and Busters locations around the world on October 28th.

The game boasts many of the same features seen in the original iOS version, with a single player mode and multiplayer challenges. There’s no word on whether you’ll be able to use your iOS device in sync with the arcade game to create a sort of augmented iPhone experience, but either way you’ll be able to jump directly into the story via the in-house arcade machine.

In other Epic Games news, Infinity Blade 2 is coming exclusively to the iPhone 4S later this year, with the launch tentatively scheduled for December 31st. We’re keeping a close eye on Epic’s news feed, so we’ll let you know if anything changes.

Update - As astute commenters have noted, Infinity Blade 2 isn't exclusive to the 4S, it just runs best on that device. It will still be playable on older iOS devices, but at lower graphical settings.

No, it's not. Get your facts straight. Never take information from a single source. In fact, if you want to report news about a game maybe you should go the developers first and not some fly by night, unverified and completely unprofessional NON news source.

This is the original quote:

Capps said, during the demo, that the game is “only going to run like this on the iPhone 4s. Why? Because it's awesome."

Then of course moronic fake news sites converted that into something else which you then regurgitated.

The reason it will only run LIKE THAT on the 4S is because only the 4S will have both a dual core chip and a super high resolution screen.

The game will also run on the iPad2 however it wont look as crisp.

I've not seen any mention of iPad1/iPhone4 but I don't see why it wouldn't run unless simply don't bother making lower end graphics for it. Same with iPod Touch.

Ok here's for you guys that don't understnd anything, the game will run on all iOS devices past second gen, so iPod touch 3rd gen, iPhone 3GS, iPad, all will still be able to play this game but it will be dumbed down abit. iPhone 4 and iPad users will just have to play the game without dynamic lighting and shadows or antianilising while iPhone 4s and iPad 2 has the power to play with these settings enabled. That is all
