Doom iPhone - Image 1Doom Resurrection
's been out and about in the App Store for a couple of months now. However, if you find yourself pining for the good ol' classic version, this here's some great news for  you. John Cormack himself has announced that Doom Classic will be joining Resurrection on the App Store soon.

All that they're waiting to be done now is for the seal of approval to be granted to the game. And they're in the process of getting that sweet "Yes" from the App Store as we speak. id Software has in fact already submitted the said title and if all goes well, which it should, we're getting Doom Classic on our iPhones come next week.

In case you were one of those people who answered Cormack's survey over at id's forums, asking about your preference on controlling FPS on platform, this should allow you to see just how much of the suggestions were heeded by the company.
