Set in a post-apocalyptic world where most of mankind is enslaved by some evil dudes and a whole load of robots. Revolt pits you in the role of a human resistance fighter fighting the machines, pretty much like any other sci-fi shooter out there. The robot apocalypse is here and it’s up to YOU to save mankind – kinda thing.
Graphics are spot on, sharp 3D graphics, very colourful with convincing effects like explosions. The controls are easy to pick up and it plays great. We’ve played through the first four levels and while we are enjoying it – the levels are feeling a bit samey. We’re hoping it will get excited towards the latter part of the game. If you are a fan of Dual Stick Shooters, it’s worth giving this a go. It’s a polished game and pretty fun to play. The developers already announced that they have a Revolt v1.1 patch in the works, bringing such features as a new “lights out” mode – which sounds exciting. Get Revolt from the App Store.
