When you have kids in the backseat and you’re trying to drive, keeping them amused is the least of your problems. The Rest Area app for iPhone will quickly find the closest rest stop to where you are in the U.S., complete with map view and detailed info on what facilities are available there. If you’re lucky, the chosen rest stop will also sell 42 oz. soft drinks, so in an hour, you’ll be looking for another rest area. Download for free at the Apps Store.
