- Save time while entering addresses in Safari
Most people, when they need to type a new address in Safari tend to first delete the original address using ‘x’ on the keypad before typing out the new address. But what most of us don’t know is that you can directly start typing your new address without having to tap ‘x’ and deleting the old one. This will automatically replace the original address.
In most cases such as in the Search field on Safari, this feature does not exist. If you start typing without deleting the previous text then the iPhone will start entering text from the end of the original text.
Hence, this trick only works for the address bar. This inconsistency is not a flaw in iOS. In fact Apple designed it in this way because of the different uses for each text fields.
