  • Screen Zooming
This is one feature which can come useful to anyone regardless of whether you have poor eyesight or if you are just interested in looking at everything bigger. To activate this, go into Settings, then General. In General search for Accessibility and then tap on it. Switch on the Zoom function. You can perform a bunch of three finger zooming functions on your iPhone’s home screen whenever you want.
  • Get additional features by tapping and holding
Additional functionality options can be revealed when you tap and hold on certain things. For example, if you do this on links and images, say in Safari or Mail you will be given additional functions (open, open in a new page, save etc). Also, in the Maps app you can get a pin dropped on the location you want by tapping and holding onto the location. This is pretty useful when you want to mark something on the Map for example, where you parked your car. Similarly, in the Photos app if you tap and hold onto an image you will get the option to copy the image and paste it later on.
  • Save time while entering addresses in Safari
Let us tell you about a cool little trick which can help you save time when you type a web address in Safari. Most people, when they need to type a new address in Safari tend to first delete the original address using ‘x’ on the keypad before typing out the new address. But what most of us don’t know is that you can directly start typing your new address without having to tap ‘x’ and deleting the old one. This will automatically replace the original address. In most cases such as in the Search field on Safari, this feature does not exist. If you start typing without deleting the previous text then the iPhone will start entering text from the end of the original text. Hence, this trick only works for the address bar. This inconsistency is not a flaw in iOS. In fact Apple designed it in this way because of the different uses for each text fields.
