iPhone Tips and Tricks: Mangage and Sync Multiple iPhones Using iTunes

As an example you may want to keep your games only on your iphone and put specific games or kids books on your iPad for your child. Or say you want to keep your apps on your own iPhone and have different ones for your spouse's iPhone. It can get pretty tricky trying to keep all of these things separate but now there is an easy way to do it. There’s no limit to the number of iPhones, iPads or iPod Touches you can sync, so here’s what you do:

Plug your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad into iTunes via the USB dock cable.
Find it listed under Devices in the left sidebar and click on it.
Go through the tabs on the top of the iTunes window and select the music, movies, apps, podcasts, etc. you want to sync. (Bonus tip: the big, colorful capacity gauge at the bottom keeps track of how much space you have left so you can’t add more than your device can handle.)
Your selection can include none, all/automatic, or just the exact content you wish.
Sync!
Repeat with all your (or your family’s) devices.

iTunes will do all of the work and heavy lifting for you and keep track of the individual settings for all your devices which will make life much easier and won't mix them up. This way you see only the content that you want to on each device. When you sync, the content updates to whichever apps and media you have chosen and it's quite easy to change and manage the selection whenever you are plugged in to iTunes.

This function is especially handy for couples, husbands and wives or full families where everyone has their own iPhone and maybe even an iPad or iPod Touch thrown into the mix as well. Believe me it gets tricky enough just trying to keep my own devices synced the way I want and it's just me. I can't even imaging trying to keep things straight for an entire family.
