Remember, this guide is for iPhone 4 and 3GS users. Unfortunately, greenpoison doesn’t support the iPhone 3G. Let’s get straight to the steps involved in this process: Step 1: First and foremost, you need to go to the greenposion website (http://www.greenpois0n.com) and download the file for Windows. Step 2: Save the file on your desktop and extract the contents. Open the greenpoison folder and then click on the icon to open the application. Step 3: Take your iPhone, connect to your PC and then switch it off. Step 4: The jailbreaking process first starts with putting your iPhone in the DFU mode. To start, click on the Jailbreak button. Step 5: Instructions will directly appear on the greenposion application itself. First, hold the sleep button for 2 seconds. Step 6: After the 2 seconds, continue holding the sleep button and also hold on to the Home button for 10 seconds. Step 7: After the 10 seconds, continue holding on to the Home button for 15 seconds but release the sleep button. Step 8: Remember that instructions will be highlighted in the application only if you do it correctly. If you make a mistake, start again. After the 15 seconds complete, you will see the Ready to jailbreak button highlight. Click on the jailbreak button to start. Step 9: Keep holding on to the Home button, after the process gets completed you will see a Quit button appear on your screen. Release the home button and click on the Quit button. Step 10: Your iPhone will display verbose scrolling on the screen and then reboot by itself. Step 11: Once it switches back on, you will notice that there is new app known as loader on the home screen. Step 12: Open the loader app, select Cydia and install it. Step 13: You will be asked whether you want to remove the loader app. Do so as it is no longer required. Reboot your iPhone, open Cydia and enjoy the world of jailbreaking on your iPhone.
