iPhone App Review: Air-Draw For iPhone 4

The first thing to mention is that you need to have an iPhone 4 to utilize this app.  Air-Draw was the first iPhone 4 App released that takes advantage of the gyroscope for drawing.  Basically it follows the motions that you make with your hand and converts those 'strokes' into drawings. You hold your iPhone 4 like a pen and create your drawings in the air as if you were drawing on an imaginary canvas suspended in front of you.  Air-Draw then translates your movements to shapes and after you complete the stroke you see the results displayed on your screen. You can choose different colors, width of the shapes you are creating as well as the background color. After completing your drawing you have the ability to let the world see your creation.  You can email your work of art to a friend, share it on Facebook, tweet it on Twitter or just save it to your photos for your own viewing pleasure.

In theory this seems like a really cool app and for the price of $0.99 you won't have to break the bank to purchase it.  However, reviews at this time are mixed.  Many people seem to really enjoy Air-Draw but there appears to be as many negative reviews as well.  The main complaint is that it's very difficult to get the hang of drawing and the images don't come out looking anywhere close to what you imagined you were drawing. If you have the patience to practice this could turn out to be a fun app for you.  If not, we recommend skipping this one.
