Noise Cancelling or Stereo Microphone?

It is believed that the extra hole at the top of the new iPhone HD is a 2nd microphone for noise cancelling. This feature will greatly increase audio quality when in calls, and given that the iPhone will be used on speaker mode a lot more if the front facing camera supports video chat. however it could also possibly open up the ground for stereo video recording. If the iPhone rumours are to be believed, the iPhone HD will record in HD video as well, and at that point, we all want the sound to be in stereo right?
