That tiny little battery icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen can be difficult to interpret sometimes, that’s why Apple put a switch in the iPhone OS 3.0 betas to toggle a battery percentage meter on and off. Some people simply like seeing a numerical identifier for their battery. For whatever reason, that switch disappeared from the final release of iPhone OS 3.0, and people were a bit disappointed to say the least. Now, however, that switch has been re-discovered, but it isn’t good news for everyone. [via iphoneblog]
Only iPhone 3GS users get this extra battery indicator.
