iPhone 3GS increases uploads to YouTube by 400%

YouTube uploads from mobile devices has increased 400 percent since the release of the iPhone 3GS last friday. Google notes that even though the iPhone 3GS created a giant spike in mobile video uploads, it is also a part of a growing trend where during the last six months upload rates have jumped 1,700 percent.

“This growth represents three things coming together: new video-enabled phones on the market, improvements to the upload flow when you post a video to YouTube from your phone, and a new feature on YouTube that allows your videos to be quickly and effortlessly shared through your social networks.
