LucasArts' teasing has finally come to fruition, and the Monkey Island re-release has recently made its way onto the App Store. Yep, gamers can now play as pirate wannabe Guybrush Threepwood on their iPhones and iPod Touches.

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition for the iPhone and iPod Touch features the same improvements made for the game's Xbox Live and PC versions -- completely redrawn visuals, a remastered soundtrack, voice acting, and a hint system for the games puzzles. Gamers can also choose to play through Monkey Island in its classic look.

The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition is now available on the App Store for US$ 7.99.

The remake is better the graphics blow the old away and the ability to switch between the old graphics and sound and the new with a swip of ones fingers is just to cool so in this case you can keep your scumm to your self.
