Luxor has been confirmed for release on the iPhone and iPod Touch thanks to a publishing deal between MomboJumbo and ngmoco's Plus+ Publishing arm. It was only a matter of time, really, considering Luxor's popularity with the marble-shooting and puzzle-playing set.
In Luxor, an evil god's minions have unleashed chains of colored spheres to destroy the pyramids of Ancient Egypt. Players must clear these chains by color-matching three or more spheres. Native controls allow players to slide, tap, shake and tilt to manipulate the magical winged, side-scrolling shooter and launch power-ups.
Luxor will be Plus+ Publishing's first release. The game's iPhone and iPod Touch versions will make use of Plus+'s social networking features to send challenges to friends via Facebook and Twitter, earn Plus+ points, and get their names and rankings on friends and global leaderboards.
iPhone and iPod Touch owners can expect Luxor on the App Store this month.
